2030 Grade Counselor
Curriculum Lead - Mental Health Support, Restorative Practices & Community Engagement
I was born and raised in Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor, Michigan - and I am a proud alumni of Carpenter Elementary, Scarlett Middle School, and Pioneer High School. I attended Western Michigan University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education (English) and a Master of Arts degree in Secondary School Counseling. I come from a family of committed educators and I’m privileged to serve the Scarlett youth and families in this capacity.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, music, shopping, and spending time with my husband and three sons. I am passionate about empowering young people to invest in themselves through the educational experience and to take care of themselves and one another.

2029 Grade Counselor
Curriculum Lead - College and Career Counseling/Development
I was born in Boston and grew up in Northern California. My family moved to Ann Arbor in 2008 by way of Vancouver, British Columbia and we love it here! Our family consists of my two awesome sons (10th/6th grades), my husband, and a pandemic puppy named Maple. Education has been a lifelong passion for me - a Bachelor’s in Literature from Claremont McKenna, Masters in Education from Stanford, Masters in Divinity from Regent College (B.C.), and a Masters in Counseling from EMU. I have taught 3rd grade, 6-12th ELA, and been an SISS paraprofessional. Being at Scarlett, in this role, is a joy and dream come true.
My goal is to help students empower themselves, dream for their future and help figure out actionable steps toward making those dreams a reality. I love watching students discover their strengths and passions and learn ways to address and navigate their challenges. Middle school can be tough - I don’t want students to feel alone and am here to listen and advocate for you. Middle school can also be really fun. I’m here for both!
